Thermal braking system for safer roads built in minutes instead of months

Issue
FLIR wanted to launch its next-generation thermal vision Automotive Development Kit for the development of self-driving cars at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

A real-life demo how thermal cameras can improve the safety of advanced driver-assistance systems was part of this showcase. They wanted to show how automatic emergency braking enabled by thermal cameras would look like. But FLIR had difficulties to synchronize multiple the high-resolution FLIR Boson thermal cameras. And the deadline was very tight.

Idea
We used Horison in combination with the Horus Security Suite software to create the stitch on the fly.

Impact
The Horus Framework made automatic emergency braking enabled by thermal cameras, available in 15 minutes of configuration instead of 3 months of development.
