Metro Cubico Engineering

is a Brazilian based company. More than 8 years leading in the Mobile Mapping market in LATAM and Spain. They are a true pioneer in the use of Mobile Mapping technology in Brazil. Their focus is gathering and the preparation of survey information for engineering studies and projects.

Metrocubico needed to capture 6000KM of street level imagery in Brasil. This is not very difficult and there is a wide variety of mobile mapping solutions out in the market who could do this. But none of them were matching the preconditions of MetroCubico.  MetrcoCubico is very ambitious and they foresee a growth in their capturing fleet including extra needed mobile mapping sets. More important was the price tag of the system, the scalability and the use of off-the-shelf hardware. 

In this particular mobile mapping case it was not necessary to have very high accurate GPS positioning. And of course they needed user friendly software to capture and postprocess the imagery. Bringing new staff up to speed and productive as soon as possible is an absolute no-brainer.
